The Magic number is generated every hour during the regular MLB Season. Please bookmark this page and come back during the first week in April to check your team's progress.

The Major League Baseball Magic number for the Rays has been calculated using the following method from the current standings.

Take the number of games yet to be played, add one, then subtract the number of games ahead in the loss column of the standings from the closest opponent.

Before the season starts, every team has a magic number of 163.
